QUALIFICATION “ACCOUNTANT”

Economics and accounting (by industry) is the most popular economic specialty in secondary vocational education. This is not surprising: there is no enterprise functions without accounting. The specialty can be obtained on the basis of 9^th and 11^th grades.

Duration of studies:

• On the basis of the 9^th grade - 2 years 10 months (full-time studies)

• On the basis of the 11^th grade - 1 year 10 months (full-time studies) / 2 years 10 months (part-time studies)

Today, an accountant is a specialist who has knowledge not only in the economic and financial fields, but also in the field of new information technologies, combining high computer literacy and the ability to make decisions on the strategy and tactics of financial management. Students master specialized computer programmes, including 1C: Accounting, spreadsheets and databases.

The accountant must catch all changes in the legislation. His professional activities include payroll, preparation and verification of balance sheets, accounting for material values, communication with representatives of tax services.
