The Institute trains bachelors in the educational programmes “Civil Law” and “Criminal Law” in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education in the field of study 40.03.01 “Law”. After successfully passing the state final exam, students are issued a state bachelor's degree. Students liable for military service are granted a deferment from the army. The educational programme is implemented in full-time and part-time forms of study. Part-time form of study is implemented using distance technologies and is available for obtaining a second higher education.
The authority of the legal profession is invariably high, and a lawyer's diploma is evidence of fundamental and applied knowledge, a broad outlook, and thorough professional training. Today the Institute of Law and Entrepreneurship makes a significant contribution to the training of professional lawyers.
Preserving and enhancing the glorious traditions of classical education, the Institute is working to improve the quality of the educational process, taking into account the specific features and requirements of the current situation in the country, the needs of the labor market.
The strategic partners of the Institute are the Chambers of Lawyers of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the Department of Justice, the Central Internal Affairs Directorate, notary and registration chambers, the departments of the judicial departments of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the Main Investigation Department, the Administration of the Pushkin District and other institutions.

The high qualification of scientific and pedagogical staff provides a great demand for graduates of this field of study among employers. Over 300 graduates work in the Department of Internal Affairs of fifteen districts of St. Petersburg and twelve districts of the Leningrad region. More than a hundred graduates are in the judiciary, serve as federal and magistrate judges in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. More than fifty graduates work in the prosecutor's office of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. Graduates of the Institute also work in bailiff services, in notary offices, in inter-district inspections of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, at customs and in other organizations.
